My broad range of counselling experience informs my supervision practice. Work has covered university counselling, survivors of sexual assault and work with young adults, and academics. I specialise in supporting people through early life transitions and crises. University counselling has included Cambridge, Durham and Teesside Universities. I have also gained a wealth of experience providing short and long-term therapy to a wide range of clients in my private practice.
As well as my practitioner work, I worked for many years as a counselling and psychotherapy trainer. You may also know me by my informal name, Marita.
My Supervisory Approach
In supervision, I aim to align with your working style. If you are working solely online, I will work with you online. If you are working face to face or a combination of both, then we will model this. We can discuss your needs when you contact me.
I trained in the Seven-Eyed model of supervision and will work collaboratively with you to encourage self-reflection and examination of the wider context of your clients. I am happy to chat about this when we meet.
I have good knowledge of the 2026 BACP Ethical Framework which will become mandatory for BACP members in November 2026, and I will be working within this new framework within supervision.
Who I Supervise
I provide face to face supervision in Cambridge to trainees, private practitioners, and supervisors. I also provide online supervision for those who prefer to work remotely or at a distance from Cambridge.
Group supervision is in groups of 2-3 people.
