Therapy for Depression in Cambridge

It can sometimes seem very lonely when we feel depressed or low, and we feel unable to find the energy to be able to recognise what is happening. It can feel as if you are the only one feeling this way, and it can be difficult to navigate a way out of the feelings. If you are finding life a struggle and burdened by low feelings, you might find my therapeutic approach helpful.

I specialise in working with people who are feeling low or depressed in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. I work with many clients, particularly young adults, students, and researchers. I also support people through early life transitions and crises.

Feeling Alone

If you’re feeling alone, overwhelmed and exhausted with these feelings, you may be going through a period of depression. Depression can feel like a lonely place, but you’re not alone.

I often work with people who are studying for a PhD, which can feel like a very isolating journey.  I help people to navigate the difficult journey of ‘stuckness’ in their lives.

My Approach

My integrative approach draws upon person-centred and existential therapy. I use a range of skills to work with your issue. We cannot change what has happened in our past; however, we can change how we think about our present and future selves.

My overall approach is to help clients to better understand their depression and the factors that contribute to feeling low. This helps to prepare for and manage those difficult periods in life. Life offers a number of difficult challenges, which can be greater for some people than others. Navigating these challenges with the help of an experienced therapist who works with depression can be the first step to feeling better able to cope. My clients often want to develop strategies to help them manage when they finish therapy. My approach enables clients to do this.
